Navajo refinery getting Hydrogen upgrade
January 8, 2016
Holly Refining Corp. has selected Elliott Group to supply compression equipment for an upgrade at its Navajo Refinery in Artesia, New Mexico. The move will allow Holly Refining to meet new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emission standards for clean fuel formulation.
Elliott will provide a hydrogen recycle string, which consists of a 15MB7 compressor, as well as a motor and gear. KP Engineering is the engineering procurement contractor for the project.
The hydrogen recycle unit will be built and tested in Elliott's manufacturing facility in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. Delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of 2016.
